Fishbane is the most mystical man ever. That comes with the downsides as well as the upsides. He will always be late, he will always talk in run on sentences, and he will always be difficult to understand if you don’t know the material well. Literature of the spiritual life is really great with him because it’s easy to ground oneself in the secular texts and use them as a jumping off point to enter discussion with him, but taking another one of his classes set entirely on a kabbalistic text can be very daunting. Not only is the text pretty inaccessible but so is Professor Fishbane. Not physically, like, he’ll be there, but he’s not there spiritually, y’know? Also knowing bob Dylan well makes class way better

He’s super brilliant but disorganized. Not a difficult course.
