Super interesting information (sometimes feels slightly dry bc 2.5 hrs), a lot of reading every week, 2 reading responses (3-page) before midterm and 2 after midterm + midterm and final (in-class essays). A is attainable if you remember to use lots of details in essays and have an arguable opinion in reading responses.

Great lecturer. Harsh grader. Don't take if you want an A. But you'll learn a lot.
